Broth

1/2 - 3 qts of cold water
1
- 2 lb pork ribs
3
oz barley
1 lb potatoes - thinly sliced
Salt and pepper
Place
the ribs and barley in water and bring to the boil. Add potatoes.
Skim and simmer gently for about 3 hours. Remove the ribs, garnish
with parsley, season and serve.
